About me
As an educator for 3 decades, I have taught grades 1-4, served as a Reading Specialist and RTI Coordinator for 13 years, an Instructional Coach and now work as the Reading Academy Specialist and support new teachers through our Teacher Trailblazers Program. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Masters of Science in Reading both of which have ignited my passion for teaching the whole child, differentiating instruction for student success and social emotional learning. In 2019, I made my way to the warmth of Texas from the East Coast to work for LTISD. Just as much as I love working with students, I love the work of supporting teachers in the hard job they do each day and enjoy learning and growing myself. When I am not teaching, I can often be found hanging out with my hubby, 3 cats (Wesley, Poppy and Lulu) and friends, creating, decorating, listening to live music, reading and enjoying the Texas weather!
