About me
Tara is a Humanities Instructional Coach primarily supporting LTHS while continuing to oversee the vertical alignment of ELA 6-12 and related training as well as consulting middle school ELA in tandem with Dana Schrader when required. Prior to becoming a coach, Tara taught 14 years and served as English Department Chair at LTHS. Tara's teaching experience ranges from working with struggling writers and at-risk students to teaching Humanities, on-level English 1, 2, and 4, Pre-AP English 1, and AP English 4. Her range of professional experience includes designing, coaching, and implementing authentic learning, and writing curriculum and materials, leading vertical alignment, designing and delivering professional development, and mentoring. Tara holds a Masters of Educational Administration as well as Principal Certification. Tara has two children who are adulting very well as well as a small, sweet dog. She is enjoys writing, painting, and being outside hiking and camping when the weather is fine.
